Are you hoping to reach a high level of success in life but just don’t know quite how to get there? Then you need to listen up. It’s very important to realize that success is a skill that can be learned by anyone who is willing to devote the time and study required to gain specialized knowledge in the desired area of concentration. If you are still struggling financially or barely getting by, you can change that too. But it all starts with “upgrading” or changing your mindset. If you have a negative opinion about wealthy people or about other people in general, then it’s time for you to change the way you think. Believe it or not, your thinking pattern may be the culprit that’s holding you back. You have to change your thinking to change your outcome in life.
To become abundantly successful you must first learn to dream big; like you did when you were a kid. Remember how we use to dream of becoming big things when we were kids - like wanting to be a singer, actress, nurse, astronaut, doctor, musician, or lawyer? What happened to those big dreams? Where did they go? Why did you just settle for less in your life? I’m here to tell you that it is never too late to be what you wanted to become. You just need to use your mind and your thinking in a very strategic manner.
Here are some basic success strategies that I teach my clients to utilize everyday.
(1) Dream Big! Keep this in mind: You are only limited by your own
wrong thinking. We create a new tomorrow by what we dream
today. In fact, Napoleon Hill in his classic book Think and Grow
Rich wrote, “Dreams are the starting point of all worthwhile
achievements.” Accordingly, you must develop a clear mental
picture of what you want out of life; a target to aim for.
(2) Develop a success plan for your future.
a. Write down some goals for yourself & your family
b. Outline what you want to accomplish in life.
c. Write down the material things that you want to acquire.
d. Develop a vision board
(3) Learn how to create a growth mindset and a success mentality.
a. Believe in possibilities!
b. Become prosperity conscious
c. Upgrade your self-concept and develop an attitude of faith
and gratitude
d. Release your negative thinking
(4) Gain specialized knowledge in one area you want to concentrate
on.
a. Take the time to educate yourself about your passion
b. Encourage yourself. Motivate yourself.
c. Read books, listen to CD’s, and attend seminars on personal
development and your specific area of interest.
(5) Get to a place of Self-Awareness
Become aware of your psychological triggers and learn to manage your emotions! Know that the thoughts we think creates the emotions or the “feelings” we experience. These feelings then lead us to the actions we take – or will not- take. When you are experiencing positive emotions like: happiness, joy, and inner peace you will find yourself engaging in more productive activities. Whereas when you are undergoing negative thoughts or feeling negative emotions such as: fear, anger, resentment, jealousy, etc., you will find yourself focusing on all of the negativity around you and retreating to a place of lack; thus limiting your potential.
(6) Be about your business
a. Only hang around with positive minded, uplifting people.
b. Only listen to and take advice from those people who have
already done – or succeeded at - what you want to do.
c. Only focus on what you want to achieve (don’t focus on the
negative aspects of life or on your past negative
experiences)- only focus on what you want to become in
life.
d. Only allow positive words to come out of your mouth! Stop
the gossiping; stop speaking adverse things about others.

e. Always say ‘YES’ to possibilities! Do not follow the herd, be
a leader - learn to stand out from the crowd.
(7) Follow in the footsteps of other successful people who have
already done what you want to accomplish. Take the time
already done what you want to accomplish. Take the time
to study, observe, analyze, and learn from other successful (and
wealthy) people who have gone before you; success always leave
clues.
(8) Take Effective Action! Execute your success plan with persistent
commitment!
a. Take steps everyday to turn your dreams into reality
b. Focus only on your dreams, your goals, and your desires
c. Protect your dream. Never allow anyone to tell you what you
cannot become, or will not achieve in life.
When you can start to make these progressive steps in the right direction, you my friend are on your way to living a peaceful life and starting on the journey to success. Anything is possible… if you just believe! Oliver Wendell Holmes said it best, “What lies behind me and what lies before me are but tiny matters compared to what lies within me.” He also said, “Many people die with their music {dreams} still in them.” Don’t die with your music still in you; pursue your dreams. Develop the correct mindset so you can release the greatness that is within you. All things are possible to him who believes. The power lies within the way you think, the words you speak, the people you associate with, and the actions you take - or not take - on a daily basis. Never stop dreaming. Never stop pursuing your dreams!
Be Blessed!

Dr. Amy
